Christmas 2016 GIfts for Santa's Helpers

How many of you know of a Christmas-oholic? You know the type...as soon as the the last trick-or-treater steps off their porch, they're decorating for Christmas. Not to mention, they've been jamming to "Jingle Bell Rock" since after Labor Day. What in the world would you buy for someone like that? Watch the video below for some jolly-good ideas.

Christmas 2016 Corkcicle GIfts

If you ever run across someone that is completely impossible to buy for, I have the solution: Corkcicle.

I'm fairly certain that everyone wants to keep their hot drinks hot and their cold drinks cold. Therefore, everyone could use one of the Tumblers, Canteens, or Artican.

If you know of a Oenophilia (lover of wine) or an Oktoberfest-regular, the Decapitator, Chillsner or Whiskey Wedge would be right up their alley, as well.

Christmas 2016 Gift Ideas for Her

Personally, I think women are easy to buy for.

That could be because I'm a woman.

However, I do find gift-giving a little tricky for the girls in the office.

"Did"

After watching the following video I now know what my coworkers are getting this holiday season!

That video shows just a fraction of the items we carry in the store that women would love to have. PJ sets from Lazy One, spa sets, slippers by Snoozies, coffee mugs, tees from Simply Southern, Christmas ornaments...

Christmas 2016 Gift Ideas for Him

We can't forget the "Mister" in your life. Sometimes he can be hard to buy for so we've taken the guess work out of gift-giving.

If the previous video doesn't "float his boat" (pun intended), relax, we have more ideas!

Ideas for the Wire Snowmen Baskets

Recently, we have gotten in a few things at the store that I'm truly smitten with. They are the wire snowmen baskets.

One reason I adore them so is their "decorative longevity".  You are able to use them throughout the winter months in many different capacities.

Let's compile a list, shall we?
  • Set the duo on your mantle and fill them with ornaments.
  • When hosting a soiree, you could set the two tiered snowman out, holding condiments, napkins or anything of the like.
  • Fill them with scented pinecones.
  • Set the pair on a table next to the door to hold your gloves and scarves or even your keys.
  • If you're crafty, get styrofoam balls, cover them in glue or Mod Podge, then roll them around in white glitter. Now you have a basket of sparkly "snowballs".
There is no limit to the amount things you can think of doing with the wire snowman baskets. We'd love to hear what YOU come up with. Leave your ideas below.

Holiday Decor for the Decorating Impaired

In an earlier blog post, we showed you an easy way to make a wreath for the Fall season. Well, now we're back to show you how to make one for the Winter/holiday season.

This is so very quick and easy that we would advise you against blinking. (We wouldn't want you to miss a step!) Ready?

Things you'll need:

-A wreath, a tree or even a topiary. It doesn't matter. It's up to you.

-A snowman kit. This is comprised of a head and two arms (both of which have dowel rods), and a "Merry Christmas" sign. You can find this kit at your nearest Trees n Trends

Now it's time for you to shine! Attach the pieces wherever you think it would look best. You could throw in a few sprigs of red berries or bolls of cotton. If you're feeling brave, you could even wrap a red scarf around the wreath, tree or topiary. It's totally up to you. Once it's finish, it could look similar to either one of these:

There you have it, an easy snowman wreath that you can make all by yourself, any way you'd like.

(You can blink now.)

Campfires Without Fires

One of my favorite things about Fall is campfires. I love everything about them! Unfortunately, there are some people in this world that are unable to participate in this seasonal ritual because of apartment rules, allergies or a county mandated burn ban. Lucky for them, there are alternatives.

Take one firepit...

Add a few pieces of seasoned firewood...

Then top it off with string lights.

And there you have it...a fireless firepit. All thanks to Trees n Trends.

Fall's "I NEED" List

I've poured over article after article trying to come up with a list of what you'll need in your home to make Fall 2016 the best Fall ever. Everything listed was found at Trees n  Trends.

#1. Pumpkins

Not just ANY pumpkin, either -- 2016 is the year of the white pumpkin. Very versatile. It can be elegant or playful, depending on how you're using it.

#2. Scents of Fall

There's no other season that has as many scents associated with it. A whiff of cinnamon (a key ingredient to the ever popular "pumpkin spice") or a bonfire is guaranteed to make you reminisce to that time in late October when...

#3. Nature

Using natural elements in your home decor brings the season indoors for all to enjoy. Elements like dried wheat, branches of berries and/or bolls of cotton would be ideal to replace the blooms of summer.

#4. Throw blankets

The days getting shorter and the nights getting longer makes one yearn to binge-watch the latest season of House of Cards on Netflix while snuggling up with a velvety soft throw. Trust me on this one.
